Styla Entertainment, the registered Ontario business behind the DJ brand Peter Styla, operates peterstyla.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’re based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

When you contact us or request a quote, through the form on this site, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, phone number, event date, event type, venue or area, guest count, and any message details.

When you book our services, additional information, including payment details, is collected and processed through our third-party booking and payments platform. Stripe and the booking platform securely handle full payment-card details directly.

When you browse this site, we automatically collect standard website usage data through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, time on site, and general city- or region-level location. This is collected using cookies, see the Cookies section below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and provide a quote
  • Confirm and manage your booking, including booking confirmations and payment
  • Communicate with you about your event (timelines, planning details, reminders)
  • Understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it
  • Meet our own legal, accounting, and tax obligations

Your personal information stays focused on the purposes described here, and any additional use begins with your permission. Your information is never sold.

Who We Share It With

We share information only where it’s needed to provide our service:

  • DJ Intelligence, our enquiry and booking platform. Booking and payment details you provide are processed under that provider’s own privacy policy. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and invoices and accounting records are kept in QuickBooks Online.
  • Google Analytics, provides website usage statistics. Governed by Google’s privacy policy.
  • Tawk.to live chat processes chat messages, contact details you choose to provide and technical information used to operate the chat service. See Tawk.to’s privacy policy.

Access remains limited to the service providers named above and the purposes described here. Your information is never sold.

Cookies

This site uses cookies through Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Disabling cookies won’t affect your ability to browse the site or submit an inquiry.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep booking and contract information for as long as required for our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Inquiry information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, then deleted or archived.

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent for us to use your information (where we’re relying on consent), subject to legal or contractual limits, for example, booking records required for tax purposes remain on file for the applicable retention period
