Peter Styla is a Toronto-based Canadian DJ of Lebanese heritage, born and raised in South Africa, with more than 15 years of experience across thousands of events on two continents.

Before settling in Toronto, he ran a DJ and events business in Johannesburg. Peter Styla is the professional DJ brand of Styla Entertainment, his registered Ontario business, which handles bookings for corporate events, private celebrations and hosted karaoke.

Toronto and across the GTA, including corporate venues, hotels and conference centres.

Travel outside the immediate Toronto area is available for an additional travel fee based on distance.

Corporate events such as conferences, galas, product launches, holiday parties and awards nights; private events such as milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties and family celebrations; weddings from ceremony to reception; and dedicated hosted karaoke events.

Bookings are administered by Styla Entertainment, so that name appears once you reach the booking pages.

As early as possible once your date and venue are confirmed.

Popular dates, especially corporate holiday season and Q4, are often booked months ahead.

For private, wedding and karaoke events, you will receive a written quote and retainer request by email. Once the 50% retainer is received, your date is confirmed and held exclusively, and you will receive a booking confirmation setting out everything agreed.

For corporate events, you will receive a formal written estimate. Your date is confirmed once the estimate is approved in writing, by email or through a purchase order where applicable, and the 50% retainer is received.

Planning is handled in writing from booking through final event details so that timings, music preferences, venue requirements and other important information are captured clearly before the event.

I also coordinate directly with your venue or AV provider where technical arrangements need to be confirmed.

Yes. Agreed extras can be added before the event, subject to availability.

Two-hour private DJ Performance is $475 and two-hour hosted karaoke with suitable venue AV is $495. An additional private-event hour booked in advance is $175. See package inclusions and extras.

Music programming, DJ entertainment, written event planning and venue coordination. DJ Performance is performance-only: Peter supplies no equipment. The customer or venue must appoint an AV company to supply, install, test and remove the full setup described for the corresponding DJ + Sound & Lighting package, including the DJ controller/playback system, headphones, mixer, microphones, sound, lighting, adapters and cabling.

Karaoke DJ Performance includes no equipment. The customer or venue must appoint an AV company to supply, install, test and remove the full setup specified for the complete karaoke package, including a Yamaha MG12XU mixer or suitable equivalent with sufficient microphone inputs, individual vocal controls and adjustable vocal effects.

Equipment packages are planned configurations. Availability, venue suitability and the exact supplied equipment are confirmed in writing before your booking is accepted.

Extra performance hours, overtime on the night, early setup or standby, and venue parking may apply. Distance-based travel charges may also apply.

A 50% retainer secures the date, with the balance due 14 days before the event.

All agreed charges are settled before the event. Overtime approved during the event is invoiced afterward within 3 business days and is due on receipt. Any overtime is confirmed with you on the night before it is billed.

All published prices are in CAD before HST. HST at 13% is added and shown separately, since Styla Entertainment is HST registered.

Choose four-, six- or up-to-nine-hour wedding reception DJ Performance or DJ + Sound & Lighting. Performance prices are $995, $1,395 and $1,795 respectively; with equipment they are $1,495, $1,895 and $2,395, CAD before HST.

The extended up-to-nine-hour service covers wedding ceremony, canapés and reception. Its equipment specification adds a battery-powered canapés speaker and an officiant lavalier microphone for the ceremony. Peter supplies these with DJ + Sound & Lighting; for DJ Performance, the customer or venue-appointed AV company supplies them and all other required equipment. Timing and coverage are agreed in writing. Ceremony coverage with four- and six-hour reception packages is quoted separately.

Sound must suit the room, guest count and programme, with reliable microphone connections and safe equipment positioning. The technical rider covers both venue sound and planned supplied equipment.

DJ Performance includes entertainment, music preparation and planning only; no equipment is supplied by Peter. The customer or venue appoints an AV company to provide the full corresponding setup. DJ + Sound & Lighting includes the specified equipment, setup and teardown.

DJ Performance is performance-only: Peter supplies no equipment. The customer or venue must appoint an AV company to supply, install, test and remove the full setup described for the corresponding DJ + Sound & Lighting package, including the DJ controller/playback system, headphones, mixer, microphones, sound, lighting, adapters and cabling. DJ + Sound & Lighting adds two professional 15-inch powered speakers on stands, a dual wireless microphone system, six LED uplights, dancefloor lighting effects, a haze machine (venue permitting) and required cabling, with setup and teardown.

Share your venue, room layout and guest count. Peter confirms whether the planned DJ + Sound & Lighting or complete karaoke package is suitable. Larger events, additional zones or presentation AV may require a separately quoted professional provider. The written quote identifies each supplier’s responsibilities.

Customer supplies a sturdy table (approximately 2 m × 1 m) and tablecloth. Every booking requires safe power, suitable access and a weather-protected work area. DJ Performance is performance-only: Peter supplies no equipment. The customer or venue must appoint an AV company to supply, install, test and remove the full setup described for the corresponding DJ + Sound & Lighting package, including the DJ controller/playback system, headphones, mixer, microphones, sound, lighting, adapters and cabling. Karaoke DJ Performance includes no equipment. The customer or venue must appoint an AV company to supply, install, test and remove the full setup specified for the complete karaoke package, including a Yamaha MG12XU mixer or suitable equivalent with sufficient microphone inputs, individual vocal controls and adjustable vocal effects. Standard connection and soundcheck time is included and coordinated with the venue in advance.

If the venue requires arrival or standby more than 90 minutes before the event begins, the early setup or standby add-on applies.

Yes. Guest song requests are welcomed and considered alongside your music preferences, must-play selections and any do-not-play requests provided before the event.

Four-hour private karaoke + DJ is $895 using suitable venue AV, or $1,395 with the complete karaoke and sound package. Four-hour corporate karaoke + DJ is $1,095 with venue AV, or $1,695 with the complete package. All rates are CAD before applicable HST.

Both karaoke options include hosted singer rotation, live DJ sets and planning. Equipment responsibilities depend on the option selected below.

DJ + Sound & Lighting includes six LED uplights, dancefloor lighting effects and a haze machine (venue permitting). Normal DJ packages do not include karaoke displays or the additional wired karaoke microphones. Equipment availability and venue suitability are confirmed in writing.

Yes. The service is designed to integrate directly with professional venue AV and event production teams.

I provide the relevant technical requirements and coordinate with your venue, AV provider or production team before the event. For DJ Performance, the appointed AV company supplies, installs, tests and removes all required equipment. I perform using that equipment and bring no equipment.

Corporate events typically involve additional planning, venue or production coordination, event timelines, procurement requirements and booking administration. The corporate rate reflects that additional preparation and coordination.

Yes. Styla Entertainment issues a professional invoice with HST itemized separately. Purchase order requirements can also be accommodated where agreed as part of the booking process.

Yes. Styla Entertainment carries commercial general liability insurance.

If your venue requires a certificate of insurance, or asks to be named on it, let me know when booking and I will arrange it at no additional cost. Please allow a few business days, as certificates are issued by my insurer.
